Top Transfers In This Winter Transfer Window-2021

Welcome to another top transfers segment and I was here discussing the top transfers a few months ago, and that included the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. whom i thought would be ultimate hits at the English game, and now I realize that I am terribly wrong.  So now let us look at the top transfer deals that were completed this winter.  I know, most of them, have been loan moves, overall let us cover the best deals to have completed through.

Fikayo Tomori To AC Milan:

Fikayo Tomori was a very hot product when he made his debut for Chelsea, but then after he himself could not remember that he is a Chelsea player.  He comes in and goes out on loan, mostly to the clubs in the championship, but if they had played him a lot frequently he would've defended better than their other defenders.

He was linked a lot with Leeds United on a permanent transfer, but AC Milan came calling, as they are in hot pursuit for good youngsters.  He joined them on  loan until the end of the season with a option to buy as well.  He has started a game for Milan and he looks pretty good for Milan's standards.  But when Kjaer makes his way back into the first team, he might not get the game time that he would be looking for.  But would accept it rather going into the Chelsea reserves.  Tomori, welcome to Milan.

Martin Odegaard To Arsenal F.C:

Martin Odegaard was the find of La Liga 19/20, where he simply anhilated top class defenders for fun.  He came back to Real Madrid and finally people thought Real Madrid have mined the next big thing in football.  But fast forward 20 match days, he is their third choice attacking midfielder as Zidane only relies on the older players.  He is reluctantly refusing to give Odegaard the play time.  Odegaard, has crossed the timeline where he was seen as a promising talent.  He is now one of the players to watch out for, he is one of the best young midfielders in the planet, but where is he?  In Real Madrid's bench.

I started to fear, whether Zidane would destroy his career benching him for life, but Odegaard realised it before me and acted quickly.  He secured his loan move to relegation battling Arsenal.  And there at Arsenal too, Arteta is reluctant not to start him.  He came of the bench against Man United with only 7 minutes to play.  And he never came on against Wolves and he is warming the bench alongside another Real Madrid midfielder who was denied chances by Zidane.  t'was Ceballos.  He has also fallen out of favour at Arsenal.  He has come here on a loan until the end of the season, and he has to prove himself at Arsenal not to Zidane but to other European clubs to buy him on a permanent deal.

Jesse Lingard To West Ham United F.C:

Lord Lingardinho has finally gone where he can prove his worth.  A player who was representing England in the 2018 World Cup has rarely played since that world cup.  And when he plays he looks really dumb.  Treats himself as he is Ronaldino but dissappoints every time he plays.  And now he is reunited with his former boss David Moyes.  West ham have been doing pretty well in the league so far and if they maintain their current form, they could gain a spot in the Europa league. And this is his time to make a comeback.  If he could guide West Ham to an Europa League Spot it would be very good.  And while I am Writing this blog, He has scored twice in his West Ham Debut to lead them to vicory against Aston Villa.

Come om Jlingz, finally live up to your potential and avoid those howlers that you had been making for the past two seasons.

Said Benrahma To West ham United F.C:

Another transfer including West Ham and we have one more transfer included West Ham, if you know put it in the comments.  Benrahma has completed his full transfer to West Ham, given he was already on loan at David Moyes's side.  The 25 year old's services were secured for a estimated fee around 19-20 million.  He is a very decent signing and is a key part in Moyes's side.  His side are doing well right now and David Moyes does not want to disturb it's rhythm.

So he is keeping the team's shape in the balance and this Algerian has a bright future under David Moyes.  He did a lot for Brentford, but deserves a better place and West Ham is the Ideal destination.

Dominik Szboszalai to RB Leipzig:

This transfer was done before long time and Red Bull group's scouting network keeps on providing those gems to football.  Like, Mane, Keita, Werner, Poulsen, Upamecano, Mukiele and lot more. Szbozalai has moved from Salzburg after really impressing in the Austrian Bundesliga and also proving his worth in the Champions league.  He is yet to feature in a game for RB Leipzig, but really looks like a future star.  He is tall and also technically very strong.  His main position is on the left flanks but could also play without any problems in the midfield, because he is a technical genius.  In his 20 appearances for Salzburg this season across competitions, Szboszalai has scored 8 and assisted 8 times.

He is really capable of making the difference in a tight game, and shows a lot of potential that he might attract Europe's elite.  So, good Luck Szboszalai.

Arkadiusz Milik To Marseille:

Now we are heading to the Pizza land of Italy and in particular we are heading to Naples and Napoli have seen enough of Milik.  They seem to be done with his performances and have loaned him out for the rest of the season.  But to be fair he is a very good player, he is young he is tall and he had been scoring 20 goals per season since signing for Napoli.  He even scored close to 20 goals last season and Gattuso has sidelined him for no reason.

And he has found his way to the city of Marseille, where the passion for football is high but success has rarely come by it's way.  He will look to prove Gattuso wrong and make his way back into Napoli.  The Polish striker made his first appearance of the season when he came off the bench for 30 minutes in their 3-1 loss to resurgent Monaco.  He is just adapting to Marseille's play and will come good.  I want the Milik of Ajax at Marseille, which would be so good to watch.

Sebastian Haller To Ajax:

I said, we have another transfer based on West Ham and here it is and it is Sebastian Haller.  Haller is a good striker with a real eye for goal, but West Ham don't think it that way.  They signed him from Eintracht Frankfut in the summer of 2019 for 45 million dollars after a fantastic 18/19 season.  But that price was too much for an one season wonder.  He is not the Haaland type of a striker who scores more goals than the matches that he plays, he is a Benzema like striker who plays as a team player, but Moyes just overrated him and signed him for 45 million dollars, but he couldn't even get 10 goals for West Ham that season.  So that price tag just took over his talent.

He did pretty well this season as he already has 6 goals across competitions for West Ham, but is never seen as a threat by the oppostion.  There is also another big reason for his failure at West Ham, he played there at Frankfurt with the likes of Jovic and Kostic who can create a bag full of chances.  But in West Ham, he does not get the support from his mates.  That is a big draw back, but it is not an excuse.  At Ajax, life has started well for Haller, as he has 4 assists and 2 goals in his 6 appearances for the team.  He does not start frequently, but is impactful.  He also needs this break to mould himself up and come back stronger at any other top club.

Luka Jovic To Frankfurt:

Speaking Jovic and Frankfurt, this loan transfer is one of my favorites.  Jovic, who terrorised defenses in Germany, went unnoticed at the Santiago Bernabeu.  Real Madrid signed him as a future replacement for Benzema, but as you know, Zidane hates youth, he played him only as a second choice and never gave him the time to settle in.  He scored a total of 2 goals for Real Madrid.  Jovic is a clear example of how sudden rise to top might afffect a footballer. He had flopped at Benfica but had two good seasons at Frankfurt.  He was good to play for one of the top teams, but his decision to leave Frankfurt was the wrong one.  Frankfurt were doing good, they always were a threat and Jovic was the heart of their attack, but he chosse money and went on to Real Madrid just to waste 18 months of his career.  He was a tactical a great fit at Frankfurt's system and he also had the backing of Kostic.  But at Real Madrid, he never had the bond with the other players and Zidane never gave him that time to make a bond with his teammates.  So he has seen enough and his career is going to be wasted if he plays for the Los Blancos any more.  So he has come back to the place where he is loved and already he has had instant impact.  He has scored 3 in his 3 substitute appearances.

He is only used as a sub so far, but he is reviving his career again.  He has good chemistry with Andre Silva and Kostic is united with Jovic.  He proved the haters that he is not a bad striker by banging in some wonderful goals and it would be good if he stays there at Frankfurt until he mentally prepares himself to play for a Real Madrid or any other Top club.  For the moment, Frankfurt must buy him back from Madrid and help him out.  Come On Luka.

Moussa Dembele To Atletico Madrid:

Dembele was on the top of his game last season as he had scored nearly 30 goals for Lyon last season.  Once again a Player has two good seasons followed up by a worst season.

And this stumble is to be faced by most of the top footballers and the ones who come out of this stumble and make it out at the top for more seasons, become best players of the game.  Just look at Neymar, he was fantastic for Barcelona and right since he moved to Paris, he was mostly injured.  But now, he is at the top of his game and one of the best in the planet.  Dembele has been horrible this season as he couldn't even get 5 goals in more than 20 appearances.  And Lyon have sent him out on loan to Atletico Madrid to get his touch back,  But Atletico should make the most of it as he really has a lot of potential and I see him as a good replacement for Suarez who is ageing but continues to provide the goods.  If Dembele could get back to form, Atleti would buy him on a full transfer.  And that is best for both Lyon and Atletico Madrid.

Alejandro "Papu" Gomez To Sevilla:

Alejandro Gomez, an Atalanta legend, made more than 200 appearances for the club, lead them form a relegation battle to the top four of Serie A, has been pushed out of the club after a dispute with the club.  It is a disgrace, as Atalanta would never find a better no.10 than Alejandro Gomez.  I am saying that he has been pushed out because, he is valued nearly 20 million but has been sold for nearly 8 million or so, which itself is a disgrace for such a player.  He is 32, but still has gas to play until 38, as he is rapid quick even now and is in the top of his game.  Even before leaving Atalanta without a proper send off, he has registered 5 goals and 4 assists in 16 games, of which he played relatively less minutes.  He was not having a good relationship with Gasperini and also the board of Atalanta and as a result he has been pushed out.

He did not start right the way at Sevilla as Lopetegui is insisting on unveiling him slowly.  He did make his debut when he made his first start in the Copa Del Rey, but is still getting on with his teammates and I expect him to reach various heights with Sevilla.  Good Luck Papu.

That is it for this winter window and let us wait for the summer to arrive to find some of the mouthwatering transfers as we wait for Messi and a lot other's transfers.
