India Vs Australia 4th Test day 4 Review

This is the 4th day of the 4th test match and welcome to the review of what happened today in the 4th test between India and Australia.  And let us get into the review.

Day 4-Session 1:

India did not have much success early into the session as Warner and Harris were doing a wonderful job, they crossed their 50 partnership and also were going on well.  Harris found runs mostly from boundaries as he hit 8 boundaries off his 38.  Warner though was keen on rotating strike and fluidity.  17 overs into the session and Australia were in a position of dominance.  But suddenly things changed as India started to attack rapidly, Thakur sent harris back and Warner departed within a space of another 2 runs.  Suddenly India had the upperhand with Australia having two new batsmen at the crease.  But the two new batsmen were fantastic ones.  Labushagne and Smith.  The partnership which has been haunting India throuoght the test series.   But the Partnership could only muster up another 32 runs, but the 32 runs came very quickly as Labushagne hit 5 boundaries in his Innings of 25.  Smith was holding up the other end.  Catastrophe struck as Labushagne edged one to the second slip, which was taken well by Rohit Sharma.

The partnership was broken and India as they did with Warner and Harris, dismissed Wade in quick succession.  In fact Siraj dismissed Wade for a duck in the same over.  And now the Aussies have lost 4 wickets in the space of 34 runs and were in the back foot.  But there was a certain Steve Smith holding up one end and he was not ready to give up.  He joined hands with Cameron Green and Steadied up the Innings once again.  As the Went to tea after losing 4 in the session in a long session that was played over 30 overs.

Day 4-Session 2:

Both teams were came back after having their lunch and India were looking to take the game away completely from the Aussies and Australia for the first time in the game were on the back foot.  Green and Smith showed resilient batting and the runs were coming unnoticed.  Steve Smith after getting set started to  counter attack the Indian Bowling attack, trying to show the dominance against an inexperienced Indian bowling attack.  But Siraj stood up tall and lead the bowling attack with great courage as he dismissed Smith off a wonderful bouncer.

The game was well and truly India's now as they just had to take out Paine and Green before the set in and put on a partnership.  They showed signs of putting on a stand, but now Thakur took over the responsibility and dismissed Green as he edged it to Rohit Sharma at the slips.  India's strategy was clear, whenever they get a wicket, they attack pretty hard at the opposition.  And once again they implemented it as Thakur got the better of Aussie Skipper Paine.  Now it was only up to the tail but Rain spoiled the play for the second time in this test and India feared that it might wash out the day as tea was taken pretty earlier.

Day 4-Session 3:

But for India's help, nature left the way as Play started again, but India only had 10-15 overs to make an impact.  And they did pretty well.  Cummins was reluctant not to get out, so India cleaned up the other end and ended the Aussie Innings 11 overs into the session.  India came on to bat but light didn't help them though and it was already late so India came out to bat one over or may be two.  Australia were hoping to remove one out of India's batsmen in the 2 overs but that didn't happen as India batted it out well ending the day with 324 runs still to chase.
