So let us get to today's review and we are reviewing the match between SRH and the Delhi Capitals.  The Warner-led Orange Army were looking to save their season after their loss to the KXIP slimmed their chances.  And Delhi, once favourites are now on a two-match losing streak.  So let us see whether DC got back to winning ways or it is the Orange Army living another day to fight.  So let us get to the toss.

1.  The Toss:

The toss was won by Delhi Capitals and Delhi followed the other teams by electing to bowl.  But an interesting fact is that, when Hyderabad last played here, they lost chasing.  So Delhi had hesitations, but they followed the fact that Chasing teams are winning recently, so Delhi chose to bowl on a good batting wicket as we were informed.  So I just thought that Delhi are making a mistake, because on a nice batting pitch, batting second can be a little tough, because of the hits the pitch suffers during the first innings.

And as far as the teams are concerned, DC came here unchanged as they backed their players yet again.  SRH made two changes as the injured Kane Williamson made his way back into the team and Bairstow was sacrificed.  And Nadeem and Wriddhiman Saha came in for Khaleel and Priyam Garg respectively.  So let us get to the first innings.

2.  First Innings:

In the first innings, it was bang bang right from the start.  No DC bowlers were spared by Wriddhi and Birthday boy Warner.  Saha was hitting 4's like he is drinking a cup of coffee.  David Warner, first started slowly, but took off like a plane and started scoring rapidly.  The partnership lasted for 107 runs.  Rabada had a very bad day as he was thrashed away by Warner and Saha for 47 runs off his first three overs.  Nortje was good, but he could not break the partnership.  Warner crossed his fifty and Saha was just setting his innings up nicely.  Then as expected, Ravi Ashwin came in to dismiss Warner as he has been doing it for years now.  The game took a very big turn after the wicket of Warner.  Not a negative curve guys, it was a positive curve.  Manish Pandey joined Saha at the crease and Saha started to hit the bowlers round the field.  His knock of 87 consisted of 12 fours and just 2 sixes.  So imagine, he hit 4's without the field restrictions like he is hitting it inside the powerplay.  No bowler was spared.  Axar Patel came in to stop Saha, but he was thrown away for 36 runs off his 4 overs.

Ashwin came to stop Saha with the confidence of getting Warner's wicket, but he too could not stop Saha.  Then, finally Nortje came in the 15th over and he succeeded, but the job was already over, because Saha took the score from 107 after 9.4 overs to 170 after 14.3 overs.  That is 60 runs in 29 balls.  The parity didn't stop there, Pandey and Williamson continued to hurt Delhi and finally DC escaped because the 20 overs came to an end.  SRH finshed with a score of 219/2.  SRH showed the other teams, what they could do if their middle order performs well.  It is a mountain to climb, but DC have to win it to go up to playoffs.  So let us what happened in the second innings.

3.  Second Innings:

The second innings started by and DC looked out of sorts right from the start.  Because they lost their spearhead Dhawan for a duck as Sandeep Sharma Striked first for SRH.  Then, Delhi promoted Stoinis up the order to replicate his BBL success, but Stoinis perished to Shabhaz Nadeem.  Then, Ajinkya and Shimron Hetmyer joined for another 40 runs in the power play, but that was not enough.  Because they had play out a Rashid Khan.  Because while chasing 220 Rashid would not concede more than a 24.  So you got to attack the others, but DC succeeded in only attacking Holder.  Rashid came in for the 7th over and he turned the game yet again for SRH.  He picked the wickets of Hetmyer and Ajinkya Rahane.  This was a big flow for Delhi because, once Hetmyer sets in, he could take the game to a different level.   Just at the time he was setting in, Rashid broke the partnership and he also dismissed Rahane insert two new batsmen at the Crease.  Now all the eyes were on the Iyer-Pant duo.  But they could not get past Rashid Khan as the required rate started to rise up like anything.  Hyderabad clearly won it when Rashid Came into bowl and after his exceptional spell, nothing was left in the game.

Pant was the only one trying to get the score look decent.  His efforts broke down to Sandeep.  Then, Natarajan showed Rabada that he is also a good death bowler as Natarajan bowled a pin point yorker to get Rabada out.  Then, DC crumbled and tumbled.  DC could've lost very badly, but Tushar saved them with his 9 ball 20.  Holder was the only bowler that Delhi used to get runs.  He finally came well as he took a wicket and, that of Ashwin, who did not have the power to clear the field.  If that was Sharjah, it would've been out of the ground, because it was such a superb hit.  And Natarajan finished the match by getting Nortje out.  And in this match DC were totally out played and they extend their loss streak to 3.

What a week of IPL Cricket, because, the bottom four teams have beaten the top four teams in the last four matches.  It started with CSK defeating RCB and RR muting MI's dominance and Punjab crushing KKR and now SRH totally destroying Delhi.  So the next four games are perfectly set up for total entertainment.  And for now I leave you with the Final Summary.

Final Summary:

        SRH: 219/2  20 Overs

        W.Saha: 87(45); D.Warner: 66(34)

        A.Nortje: 1/37 (4)

        DC: 131/10  19 Overs

        R.Pant: 36(35); A.Rahane: 26(19)

        R.Khan: 3/7 (4)

Man Of The Match: Wriddhiman Saha (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

Interesting Fact: Rashid Khan's spell of 3/7 saw him conceding only 7 runs in his 4 overs.  Which now stands to be the least no.of runs conceded by a bowler in his full quota of 4 overs.
