Welcome to another match review and today we are reviewing match no.19 which was held between Royal Challengers Bangalore And Delhi Capitals. This game was a battle for reaching out to the top. Because the winner gets to the first spot. Both of them have been winning games very easily so far and this match was the one which would decide who is the best of the best. So now let us get to the toss.
1. The Toss:
The toss was won by RCB and they chose to bowl at a superb Dubai batting wicket. As I said, there is value for your shots here at Dubai. And Delhi Capitals were coming on with a new outfit and New ideas. RCB made two changes as Zampa was replaced by Moeen Ali and Siraj replaced Gurkeerat.
Delhi though were forced to make a change as they had to replace injured Amit Mishra with Axar Patel. So now let us get to the first innings.
2. First Innings:
Delhi came on with Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan. As usual the opening stand was worth over 50 and both of them were striking at a superb pace. And soon Prithvi got out and Iyer perished for 11 and the run rate started to slow down. Then Pant and Stoinis joined hands for a partnership worth 82 runs in the next 7 overs, which took the score over 170. I really thought that they would not get over 160. But they muscled their way through to a 190. Stoinis was destroying RCB bowlers everywhere around the ground as he paid them back for failing to retain him. Stoinis hit 6 fours and 2 sixes in his innings of 50.
And to add to RCB's headaches, Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer were also in really good flow. Pant struggled during the initial stages of his innings but when he started to meet the ball in his bat sweetly, it was only Pantalicious. Delhi showed how to set up an innings. They started steadily and paced up their innings at the right time, and gave a fitting finish to their innings. It is a mountain of a target in this type of a ground, where only good shots get values. Did RCB chase it, let's find out.
3. Second Innings:
RCB's innings was fully filled with inconsistency. Padikkal, Finch and De Villiers got out in the powerplay, which increased the pressure on Kohli, who was keeping them in the hunt. An unconventional start was accompanied by an unconventional display of cricket in middle overs. All of Delhi's bowlers were economical except Harshal Patel. The other patel, that is Axar patel was the best and also won the Man Of The Match Award. RCB stumbled and Crumbled and they ended up losing 5 wickets for 94. And another 4 for next 43 runs. RCB really lost thier minds while batting and Delhi's bowling was also appreciable.
Totally this game was thoroughly one sided and now let us get to the final summary.
Final Summary:
DC: 196/4 20 Overs

M.Siraj: 2/34 (4)
