Match Review-Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Delhi Capitals-Match No.11-Dream 11 IPL 2020

Welcome to another Match review, if you hadn't read the review of the previous match, then please click this link Match Review-Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Mumbai Indians-Match No.10-Dream 11 IPL 2020.  So, let's get to the toss straight away.

1.  The Toss:

The toss was won by Delhi Capitals and they chose to bowl.  Once again, a team has won the toss and has chosen to bowl.  I still don't get it why teams are still believing in chasing a total at UAE.

Once again chasing, chasing, chasing.  SRH replaced Nabi and Saha with Williamson and Samad.  And, DC replaced Avesh Khan with Ishant Sharma.  So let us get to the first innings.

2.  First Innings:

The first innings started with Warner and Bairstow Slowly adding up the runs.  The runs came on slowly but steadily, that was the thing.

Warner went off just inside 10 overs, then Manish Pandey could not make runs like he did against KKR.  Then, williamson and bairstow partnered for another 50 rapid runs then williamson added more spice.  Debutant samad hit a massive six to justify his physique.  Delhi's bowling unit was inconsisitent in this slow pitch.  Nortje was their weak link.  Rabada came among the wickets yet again.  Mishra finally started to take multiple wickets.  It was never going to be an easy chase with this slow pitch.  But, the due factor was the only factor favouring DC.

3.  Second Innings:

DC played like they had forget to bat.  They scored 48 for the loss of 2 wickets in their first 60 balls.  Iyer and Dhawan were stagnant in their approach.  Pant and Hetmyer stiched a 40 run stand which got them over 100.  But it seemed like a mountain from that point as well.  They required more than 60 runs in their last 30 balls.  It could've been easy in flat tracks, but it would've been an impossible task in last day's slow track.  And it was, Pant scored a 27 ball 28, and Delhi really looked out of sorts today.  Natarajan turned out to be an economist yet again and he got the wicket of stoinis.  Then, Rabada and Axar got the score to 140, but the game was already over.  Delhi were out played by Rashid's bowling.  Delhi's fielding was not that great.  But SRH fielded well.  Rashid, Bhuvi, and Natarajan were the villians today as far as Delhi are concerned.

All the credit goes to Warner and Coach Bayliss who trusted repeatedly on Natarajan which gave him the confidence to do better.  SRH have registered their first win in this year's IPL and have pushed CSK to last place.  So now let us look into the final summary.

Final Summary:

          SRH: 162/4 20 overs
