XI Consisting Of Highest Rated Players Of All Time From The Last Decade

 

EA Sports FIFA is the best game series that has ever been made for football.  Even though they are suffering a dip in the recent years, FIFA game series is my Personal best.  I like Pro Evolution Soccer but If I had to choose for the realism, then it is FIFA.  The amazing realism in all aspects of the game really take us to another level.

 When you are playing a match it takes us virtually to the pitch.  The Career Mode in the current edition is legible, but the career mode in the previous FIFA Games were phenomenal especially in FIFA 14 which according to me, the best FIFA game ever produced.  So Why Am I listing all this?  Because we are going to list down a 11 consisting of players who had the best overall ratings in the last decade, across Positions.

The Formation we are going to use is 3-4-3 Attacking formation.  Because there are some really high rated Wingers.

So, We can start our list from a Goal Keeper and So on,

GK:    MANUEL NEUER - 92 - FIFA 18 - F.C.  BAYERN MUNCHEN

                                      I even get a doubt that he might be the best German Goal Keeper of all time.  Because Neuer deserves it, the 34 year old Goal Keeper has lived his life for Germany and Bayern Munich.  He has won the Champions League for Bayern, he has won multiple German Cups and the Bundesliga many times.  Neuer established himself to the World since he played for Bayern. But his performances in the 2014 World Cup was so impressive that he won the Golden Glove and Germans won the World Cup.  Neuer has been leading the Bavarian Side and the German National time since Lahm announced his retirement.

                                      Neuer suffered a form dip in 2018 where he was injured and when he came back he was awful.  But he got the best rated Goal Keeper card in FIFA 18.

  In fact he even says that his worst ever season is the 2018-19 season.  But he made a comeback and proved that he is the best.  He once again won the cup for Bayern with his stunning peformances.  He was so close to win the Ballon D'Or in 2014 but he could not.  He might not win the Ballon D'Or in the coming years, but his reflexes and his catching abilities and his own unique sweeper play style make him the best in both live and virtual football. 

RCB:  VIRGIL VAN DIJK – 90 – FIFA 20 – LIVERPOOL F.C

                                     Starting with the first defender in the list, and it is none other than the previous year UEFA Best Player In Europe and the best defender in the world right now, Virgil Van Dijk.  The Dutchman is really one of the late bloomers in football, as he achieved success in the game after the age of 25.  Van Dijk rose to fame with his prowess at Southampton and then went on to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool where he became an absolute firewall.  Defending like a beast.  His defensive side won the UEFA Champions League for Liverpool.

But he is not as successful with the dutch side as he could not gain them a World Cup spot in 2018.  But his future really looks very bright and he might even become the best rated defender of all time, beating Sergio Ramos, who is one of the best defenders of all time.  Virgil Will definitely look to lead his side in to the world cup in Qatar and even win it and make history.  Anyway Van Dijk is inarguably the best in the world right now, when it comes to defending, his height also makes him an aerial threat.  So in overall, Van Dijk is a must in your Ultimate Team.

CB:    SERGIO RAMOS – 91 – FIFA 11 – REAL MADRID C.F

                                      The next one is an absolute GOAT of Football.  This is Sergio Ramos, the Spanish Bull.  According to me Sergio Ramos is the best defender of all time.  Ramos is a complete player.  Ramos can snatch up goals, he can assist goals, he can score free kicks, he can break legs, hands, (like that of Salah.).  Apart from his stubborn attitude at the pitch he is a must in your line up.  Ramos is currently well into his mid 30’s.  His non stop workouts during the lockdown has really helped him to achieve and relive his peak years.

Ramos’s fitness had improved very well during the lockdown, and he seems to have do motives of slowing down, surely ramos will play for another 4 or may be 5 years and could even retire as madridista.  So Sergio is my ideal center back.

LCB:  GIORGIO CHIELLINI – 90 – FIFA 19 – JUVENTUS F.C

Oh!  It is not him? Then who it is?  It is Giorgio Chiellini, captain of Italian national team and Juventus.  There are some others who have got good ratings, but the reason of selecting chiellini is because of his leadership qualities and the winning spirit he brings to the game.  He may be silent, but he watches progression of the game so closely.   According to a survey his IQ is the highest among all footballers on earth.  His vision and his decisions are inch perfect.  When it comes to FIFA the reason I selected him is for his height and he can drop back while Sergio ramos and Van Dijk are moving up front.  So chiellini is a no brainer selecting in your ultimate team.

RM:    ARJEN ROBBEN – 90 – FIFA 15 – F.C. BAYERN MUNCHEN

                                          Anyone remember FIFA 15?   Those who remember FIFA 15 would really get an idea about what kind of a card he was in that version of the game.  Robben is by far the best midfielder or wide midfielder in that game.  His crazy sprint speed and his dribbling skills really will give you an upperhand when you are playing the game with Robben in your team.  When I was playing the Ultimate team in FIFA 15 I got a RW animated Robben Card.  He was my talisman for the whole season.  Apart from that I had the 90 overall Robben

in my reserves I used him to particular matches, the base Robben was not any lighter to the animated Robben.  With Robben in my side I simply robbed the other players.  So What will be the rating of Robben in FIFA 21? will he be under 80 overall or will he be over 85, comment below.

RCM:  LUKA MODRIC – 91 – FIFA 19 – REAL MADRID C.F

                                            Here comes 2018 Ballon D’Or Winner and the best Croatian footballer of all time, Luka Modric.  Modric had a fantastic 2018, Modric and his Croatian national team reached the World Cup Final only to perish against France.  And also Modric and Real Madrid won the Champions League again.  Modric had all the criterias to win the Ballon D’Or, but some thought, Cristiano Deserved to get it rather than that of Modric.

LCM:  XAVI HERNANDEZ – 92 – FIFA 12 – F.C. BARCELONA

                                              He might be the best Spanish midfielder of all time, or even the best midfielder ever in the game of football.  Xavi won everything during his time at Barcelona.  Being the Captain of the catalan club during his last few seasons, Xavi is a legend for both Barcelona and Spain.  Xavi and his compatriot paired together for some of the deadly open plays.

  His compatriot Iniesta is also a legendary figure but there may never be another midfielder like Xavi.  Xavi’s flair was the one which stood as a unique feature than that of others.  Xavi had his best times during 2011-12 season and the previous one before, which made him the best rated midfielder in FIFA.  Many thought his feat will be broken down by any other players, but it was not to be beaten as he remains as the highest rated midfielder in FIFA.  While playing FIFA 12 career mode, I always choose Barcelona because of Xavi, Messi and Iniesta.  But mainly I wanted Xavi in my team.

LM:     FRANCK RIBERY -  90 – FIFA 13 – F.C. BAYERN MUNCHEN

                                                    Little Franck is my man at Left Midfield Positon.  Mostly deployed as a winger, but his primary position is left midfield from where he pushes up front to latch up with goals or assists.  I have him in my XI because himself and Robben can win any game from any position.  Robben and Ribery partnered up for some magical goals in football.  Ribery well deserved the Ballon D’Or in 2013 but was robbed by Cristiano Ronaldo.

  Nevertheless he remains to be an underrated player not in FIFA but in real time.  Ribery’s Dribbling skills and shooting accuracy and passing abilities all together make him one of the best.

RW:    LIONEL MESSI – 94 – FIFA 20 – F.C. BARCELONA

                                                     This man needs no introduction, the best player ever in the history of the game, but there are some qualities which Messi lacks, he is not very effective on crucial situations.  Also Messi Succeeds when all of his team mates play well especially midfield.  I know that he has monstrous ball control and Free Kick accuracy, but if he has to take his team over the line single handedly, it is not possible.   For example in the Champions League Quarter Final against Bayern, Barcelona's defense looked like a defense comprising of the likes of Mustafi and Phil Jones.  This reflected on Messi as he could not establish his presence in the game.Coming to his stats, Messi, shares the feat of the highest rated base card with his counterpart Ronaldo.

                                                    Messi's ball control stats and his dribbling and shooting stats are awesome, however his shot power is lesser than that of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic or a Luis Suarez, his finesse striking or curve and his placement is really superb.  A Messi Card, whether animated or Base is very helpful for you in you ultimate team.  Messi is by far the best player in FIFA 20.  His free kick accuracy will also help you to steal the game through set pieces.

ST:      LUIS SUAREZ – 92 – FIFA 18 – F.C. BARCELONA

                                                       Here we come to one of the biggest pranksters in football, Mr.  Luis Suarez.  The Uruguayan striker is one of the best players in this generation and by far the best Uruguayan footballer ever.  Suarez may not be a quick striker as he used to be before but now he has improved his accuracy which makes him a deadly beast in the box.  Back in 2018 Suarez was beast in the game.  His shots were very powerful his quick runs were superb, and he was a real headache for the opposition defense.

                                                        In FIFA 18 he was my man at the center of attack and he was doing pretty well.  Suarez has great dribbling skills, but where he lacks is pace, his pace is not like the old years, his pace was very good in FIFA 18, but now his not the quickest player even in his team.  But his accuracy and precision has not yet reduced.  He is getting old, but he proves time to time that Suarez never slows down.  He scored a beautiful goal against Bayern in the quarter final of the UEFA Champions League 2020.

  Suarez's goal was the only positive in the game where the Catalans where anhilated by Bayern with a score line of 2-8.

LW:    CRISTIANO RONALDO – 94 – FIFA 17 – REAL MADRID C.F 

                                                          Coming to the final piece of this Puzzle, We have got Cristiano Ronaldo.  The Former Real Madrid legend.  Cristiano's best years came on with Manchester United and Real Madrid where he won absolutely every single title multiple times.  He won multiple champions league titles and he won multiple La Ligas he won Ballon D' Ors.  He currently plays for Juventus, but his best card was in FIFA 17 back in the time when he was playing for Real Madrid. 

This Is Exactly The Card That You Need In Your Line Up....

Ronaldo never looks slowing down even in 2020.  He still looks unstoppable.  No one could stop Cristiano against Lyon but he just could not get them past Lyon.  Ronaldo is one of the best players currently despite his age of 35.

                                                        He is nearing his 36th birthday but still is a very big threat to the opposition defense.  I even wonder that could Messi play like this when he is 35 or 36, I am sure that he will not.  Cristiano's body conditioning is so good that he might even get a 90 rated card by the time he is 40 or 39.  Ronaldo's pace is what makes him more decisive.  He has retained his pace for so many years and is still one of the quick players in Europe.

  He was not so impressive in the Champions League for Juventus, but since restart, he has been in red hot form.  But he is rumoured of joining Messi at Barcelona, but he might never do that.  He will never betray his best club Real Madrid.  But Messi could join Juventus, that might be a good thing to watch, Messi and Ronaldo partnering up for some of the magical goals.  But given his fitness levels he might get better ratings than that of Messi in the upcoming years.
