Top Transfer Signings This Summer (2020)

1.  TIMO WERNER - RB LEIPZIG TO CHELSEA:  53m Euros

 

                                     This was one of the most unexpected ones and one of the most important transfers happened in this summer.  The German Frontman was one of Leipzig's best players and everybody thought that he would take Leipzig to big heights.  But Werner was very clear that he wanted to improve himself by putting himself forward to a new challenge, that is the Premier League.

  He had chosen Premier League instead of other Leagues because in most of the other Leagues the League title has been dominated by one or two or atmost 3 clubs.  But at Premier League more than 6 clubs have an equal chance of winning the league.  This would improve werner's consistency, he is already a very consistent scorer, but his consistency would really increase well if he plays for Chelsea.  The price tag for him is also very sizable and acceptable it is neither too high nor too low.

2.  MIRALEM PJANIC - JUVENTUS TO BARCELONA:  60m Euros

                                    This transfer is an absolute bargain for Barcelona as they had got an additional 12 million from Juventus, because they sold Arthur for 72 million to Juventus and had got Pjanic for 60 million dollars.

  Barcelona will be benifitted in another way as Pjanic will add more experience in the squad, especially in the midfield, where Barcelona have been lacking a man who will lead attacks from midfield.

3.  ARTHUR MELO - BARCELONA TO JUVENTUS:  72m Euros Euros

                                     

                                     Obviously everybody knows that Barcelona and Juventus had traded their players, Arthur and Pjanic, Arthur was more expensive that Pjanic so Juventus had to give an extra 12m to Barcelona to finish the transfer.  But Arthur will perfectly fit the Juventus Lineup and this is really a big step forward in the young Brazilian's career.

Arthur Melo to Juventus is so far the most expensive Transfer that has happened in this summer, we might be seeing some more transfers that over take this one.

4.  MAURO ICARDI - INTER MILAN TO PARIS SAINT GERMAIN:  50m Euros

                                     This transfer happened after Paris had negotiated with Wanda Nara, Icardi's wife and agent too.  Who has reportedly criticized Inter Milan and was planning to get Icardi fully move to Paris.

  Icardi was having a superb loan spell at Paris, and is enjoying his football at the Parc Des Princes.  This move was always coming all football fans were waiting when will it happen, everybody knew that this transfer would definitely happen but they didn't knew when will it happen, but now it is finished and both sides are happy about this transfer, because Inter do not need Icardi on their books, because they have really good players to back it up for him, even better than him, such as Lukaku or a Lautaro Martinez.  So Icardi will be looking to make Inter pay for this by playing way better than he was before.

5.  LEROY SANE - MANCHESTER CITY TO BAYERN MUNICH:  49m Euros

  

                                      From this transfer, we could realize one thing, that Bayern are not interested in the longtime services of Coutinho.  Because Leroy is also a Left Winger, and Coutinho has not better position than that of Left Wing.  All his career he has played and has achieved success in only two positions, Center Attacking Midfield and Left Wing.  But the arrival of Sane could really destroy Coutinho's place at Bayern.  Bayern have also hinted this, because Coutinho's No.10 has been given to Leroy Sane.

  So the kid faced assasin has to go back to Barcelona and transform himself as a superstar again. And speaking of Sane, Pep never wanted him to leave, but Sane's decision was mostly because of Man City's two year ban, but now the Ban being lifted, Sane would be kicking himself.  But at Bayern he has bright and better chances of winning the Champions League.

6.  ACHRAF HAKIMI - REAL MADRID TO INTER MILAN:  40m Euros

                                      Hakimi could have and would have been the perfect successor of Marcelo if he had stayed at Real Madrid.  He really proved his worth during his 2 year loan stint with Borussia

Dortmund.  All credits go to Borussia Dortmund once again as they have sculpted another superstar out of nowhere, they were the ones who had invented and had given Robert Lewandowski to the beautiful game.  They are the ones who gave Gotze to football.  And they take full credits once again as they have sculpted a really superb footballer.  Hakimi is a real bargain and is most likely to become one of the best full backs in the world, Hakimi has everything, he has superb pace, even his  draw backs in his defensive side of the game does not affect him because he has pace to catch up for those mistakes, whatever you say he is a really good crosser of the ball and can start really quick and decisive counter attacks.

  Inter will be looking to use his full prowess because they have some really quick players who can join up Hakimi during counter attacks.  When Hakimi was playing at Real Madrid, his skills really caught everyone's eyes but except Zidane's, all of Real Madrid fans were thinking that Hakimi might well be the next Marcelo.

7.  FRANSICO TRINCAO - S.C. BRAGA TO FC BARCELONA:  31m Euros

                                    

                                     This youngster is also a very exciting player to watch.  Trincao is a portugese forward who plays for S.C. Braga.  He has been in really very good form for Braga and is looking to kick start his career at Barcelona.  The Portugese forward has excellent ball control and has a real eye for goal.  Trincao could transform himself as a superstar at Barcelona.

Start Of A New Era??

  Barcelona shocked the media when they announced his signing.  He was brought in for 31 million which really seems to be impressive and this price tag will also put in a lot of pressure on the youngster and could really affect his confidence if he does not perform well.  If he does not perform well and lacks confidence everybody will start criticizing about his price tag and his performance will go on to be poorer and poorer.  There are lot of players who had got destroyed after failing to live up to the club's expectation.  So all we can hope is to see him transform himself from a youngster into a superstar.

8.  HAKIM ZIYECH - AJAX AMSTERDAM TO CHELSEA FC:  40m Euros

                                     

                                      He is personally my favourite in this list.  The 27 year old had completed his move to Chelsea just after the end of the winter transfer window.  The Morroccan attacking midfielder has started his first week of training at the Stamford Bridge and he looks in good shape.

  He was one of the best players in the UEFA Champions League of 2018-19 which saw Ajax stun some heavyweights and reach the Semi-finals.  That season also saw some incredible talents that Ajax had in their bag, such as Frenkie De Jong, Matthijs De Ligt and Ziyech as well.  Ziyech is really one of the best players in the world right now and will really transform Chelsea's midfield.  Ziyech's Set Piece prowess and his vision for passes could really lead chelsea to the title next season.  Chelsea who already have Werner on their side will really fancy their chances with Hakim Ziyech in the midfield.  Werner, Ziyech, Tammy Abraham could form one of the really feared attacks of Europe.

9.  EMRE CAN - JUVENTUS TO BORUSSIA DORTMUND:  25m Euros

                                    Emre Can really likes his football in Germany as he has returned back to Bundesliga from SERIE A  he also is very happy in Dortmund as his place as he was lacking match time at Juventus.  Here at Borussia Dortmund he is really transformed himself well and looking to win the Bundesliga with his Side.  Emre Can is a really gifted midfielder who would chirp up with Goals and Assists time to time.

The stunner he scored for Dortmund this season will always stand to be one of the best goals in Bundesliga.  And Borussia Dortmund who were not really good enough to compete for the Title this season will really stand a bright chance next season where Can will be a full member of Dortmund's Squad.

10.  ARJEN ROBBEN - BACK FROM RETIREMENT - FC GRONIGEN:  Free Transfer.

                                   Robben shocked everyone last year when he announced his retirement from the game.  But he seems to be missing football.  Robben has returned to the field as a professional by joining his Boyhood Club FC Gronigen, the club where he rose to fame.  Robben being 36 still had 3 or even 4 years in the game.  His speed and his precision were exactly the same when he retired from football.  In his last season at Bayern he was once again impressive, he was quick and decisive.  It was like seeing a 20 year old running in a football pitch.  But he announced his retirement and shocked the whole football world.   Robben has returned to training and he is really in good shape to relaunch his career and reinvent some of his success with his boyhood club.
