CRICKET AFTER LOCKDOWN: 10 CRAZY THINGS THAT WOULD AFFECT CRICKET AFTER LOCKDOWN

1.  SPITTING IN THE OUTFIELD.
Players usually spit their saliva in the outfield .  This is not an appreciable habit.  But it happens because it cannot be restricted, because sometimes players spit while drinkingenergy drinks to boost their adrenaline, because spitting while drinking energy drinks would boost our receptors that energy is coming and thereby boosting our adrenaline.

But after the Corona Virus crisis this habit should be forbidden.  And players could also get fines for these.  Because spitting saliva in the field can really cause the spread of Corona Virus because if the player has the virus without symptoms he could spread it without his knowledge while spitting in the field.  So if ICC brings any penalties for spitting in the field players would get uncomfortable.
2.  USING SALIVA TO TAMPER THE BALL.
We could see players tamper the ball always during the match.  Oh! Wait its not ball tampering with chewing or by sand paper, like Bancroft,Steve and Warner.  It is using our saliva to tamper the ball.

This practice is seen deliberately by the umpires but this one has serious effects.  If one player has the virus within him he could spread it to all the people who are involved in that innings, obviously he could not spread it to the two players batting at the crease but he could spread it to all of his team’s players and the umpire as well.  Recently there has been a hot discussion about whether players can tamper the ball with their saliva or not.We have already recieved the notice from ICC that
any forms of ball tampering is banned.  The players involved may get some serious penalties.
3.  USING MASKS AND GLOVES IN CHANGING ROOM AND IN BUS.
This factor would mostly affect the freedom of the players.  The players of a team share a vast brotherhood, and they like to get along themselves prank others and etc.,

but after a health crisis like this players would be forced by ICC to maintain SELF DISTANCING in the changing rooms and even in the bus.  This will affect the mindsets of players.  Some players achieve success because of the support of his teammates.  Also except this the stress level of the players will be normal if he or she gets along with his or her teammates in the changing rooms or the bus.  The stresslevel is very important in any sport.
4.  HUGGING THE TEAMMATES AFTER A WIN OR A WICKET MAY BE PROHIBITED.
This is a rare thing but it could happen.  ICC could also ban hugging a teammate after a wicket or win, because according to WHO hugging our friends, family is also prohibited.  In cricket hugging the teammates is the best way to celebrate and this could get affected when cricket resumes after lockdown.
5.  UMPIRES USING GLOVES AND MASKS.
This is a certain thing.  Because umpires are the ones who could spread it very easily.  An umpire touches the ball touches the sunglasses and accessories of the players.  So an umpire must be given extensive care his body temperature must be regularly tested and he should be tested regularly for the Corona virus.  The best ever way to prevent umpires from spreading the virus is giving them extensive care and protection, that is by providing them masks and gloves before the match.

6.  MATCH ATTENDANCE.
The match attendance would be affected to its most.  People themselves would be feared to come to the stadium and watch a match.  And ICC would also allow only half attendance or no crowd at all.
Cricket Match Being Played Without Audience

This would affect the revenue that the sponsors get from the match.  Playing with half of the crowd would be an effective way, suppose a ground has a capacity of 40,000 people making only 20,000 seats available would really be good.  It would not spread the virus and also revenues will also not be affected.  Because if only half of the seats is available all seats would not be booked may be people may fear themselves and half of the available seats may only get booked.  So people can sit with effective social distancing and they could also enjoy the match.
7.  COMMENTATORS USING GLOVES AND MASKS.
This is a rare phenomena but it could also may come into effect because sports covering channels usually rotate their commentators during a match so the virus could be spread by this means as well.  So sports channels could also be advised to make their commentators use masks and gloves.

8.  SECURITIES BEING USED TO SEARCH THE BALLS IN THE STANDS.
This might really affect the flow of the game and this could increase a game’s duration.  Because if ICC orders every nation to conduct matches without audience, then it would affect the flow of the game.  Because usually when a ball is hit for a six the crowd would catch it and return it back to play.  But if there are no audience allowed to watch a game the ball couldn’t be returned back to play easily.  If a very long six is hit, then searching the ball would take nearly five minuetes.

This would increase a match’s duration and also it’s flow.  It’s like a rain interrupted game.
Normally a T20 match’s duration is 3 and a half hours and may be 10 or 15 minutes more but if there is no crowd it may take another 30 minutes or may be more.
9.  LOT’S OF INJURIES WHICH AFFECTS THE QUALITY OF THE CRICKET BEING PLAYED.
Players would’ve never trained during this break and this break is a very long one so we could certainly know one thing, that the players would be easily affected by injuries.  There is lesser probability that young players could be affected but it is for the older ones that we concern, players who are 35 and more.  Players like M.S.Dhoni , Shane Watson, Imran tahir,Dale Steyn, Lasith Malinga, and all others as well.

This would affect the quality of cricket really a lot.  Players being slow and getting tired quickly and not able to complete their full quota of overs.  This may not really affect the shorter formats but it is the longer formats that players get injured frequently after this long break.  Players like James Anderson would be really injury prone.
10.  PLAYERS ISOLATING THEMSELVES FOR 14 DAYS BEFORE A SERIES.
It is mandatory that players should isolate them for 14 days before a bilateral series.  And this would make the Series shorter, because you cannot play a bilateral series for one or two months so the bilateral series would be shorter and also a player’s mental stability will also be not in good shape.
